The air buzzed with excitement and goodwill as friends and supporters gathered for an unforgettable evening at the AC Hotel in Lansing. The For Good Foundation Gala, held on December 30th, 2023, was a celebration of community and took a moment to reflect on all the Good around Lansing. We partnered with Lansing SAVE, to support Child Savings Accounts for students in the Lansing School District.
The entertainment lineup was nothing short of spectacular, with live music and DJ sets keeping the dance floor packed throughout the night. Be Kind Rewind, an American 90's-00's Alternative Rock cover band based in Lansing, delivered two electrifying sets that had everyone on their feet. Their infectious energy and undeniable talent set the perfect tone for the evening. As the night progressed, DJ Metro Melik took over, keeping the party going with a DJ set that had guests dancing.
Amidst the festivities, a short program provided an opportunity to reflect on the mission and impact of the For Good Foundation. Ben Rathbun and Lillian Werbin, co-founders of the foundation, shared the inspiring story of its inception and the vision for the future. We also were able to hear from:
Ben Dowd, Board Chair of Lansing Pride, on their mission and the Foundation’s support over the years
Kristine Kuhnert, Director of Ele’s Place Capital Region, on their work supporting grieving children and teens and how the For Good Foundation has played a role in that magic
CeCe Sandoval, from MSUFCU and Lansing SAVE, on the impactful work they are doing within Lansing School District – both from a financial perspective and education students on financial literacy
The Foundation was proud to partner with Lansing SAVE, with 50% of the proceeds from the night of the gala directly supporting their initiatives. Our donation of $2,500 has contributed to Child Savings Accounts for students in the Lansing School District, empowering them to pursue their dreams and aspirations.
